GOENOMICS pitched on the life science stage at the BIG UP Summit in Braunschweig

GÖTTINGEN, GERMANY – SEPTEMBER 5, 2024 – BIG UP - The Startup Summit 2024 in Braunschweig

Braunschweig was transformed into a vibrant stage for startups from northern Germany and beyond - and GOENOMICS was there! We presented our product genome annotation and our company on stage at the TRAFO Hub, a coworking space and incubator in Braunschweig, in the high-tech / biotech / life science section. We were joined by seven other start-ups, including Allogenetics and Phaeosynth from Hanover. In the audience were founders and interested parties from the biotech, medtech and agritech scene from Lower Saxony and many local and regional investors and decision-makers. GOENOMICS genome analyses will help to improve plant breeding and gain in-depth insights into biodiversity.

To the BIG UP - Startup Summit:

The BIG UP - Startup Summit offers start-up teams the opportunity to make themselves visible nationwide and make contact with potential investors.

The event takes place at four different locations in the city, including the TRAFO Hub, the Haus der Wirtschaft of the Braunschweig Region Employers' Association and the Business Center II of Volksbank BRAWO. Here, participants can expect exciting pitch battles, workshops and keynote speeches. The highlight of the day is the closing party at Skateboardclub Walhalla, which features a final startup battle, awards and a varied program of sporting and musical performances.

The summit, organized by Braunschweig Zukunft GmbH in cooperation with local partners and sponsors, has its roots in a delegation trip by Lord Mayor Dr. Thorsten Kornblum to Berlin in November 2022, where the idea for this festival was born to celebrate the founding spirit of northern Germany and to network with venture capitalists.

Further information and details about the program are published on the website www.bigup.de and the social media channels of “Braunschweig #MitGründen”.
